Happy New Years!!! 2014 Here We Go

     As we all take this journey into the new year we throw away our bad habits and start to register new good habits. A golden year just filled with opportunities. We send prayers out to the sick, the soldiers, family and to the leader of our great nation. May the heartaches, heartbreaks, laughter, pain, passion, pride, dignity and losses help us to remember why we have made it this far. My dreams and goals will be fulfilled this year. My new year resolution is to inspire more people and to do nothing but succeed and rise to the top where I belong. Battles have been fought and blood has been shed but it's the tears that have brought us close together to unite as one big family. The family that cries together will always eat together. With open palms we can do nothing but love one another because Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. fought hard to decrease hatred. Time will come when we write our own stories and live our own paths. There's a thin line between love and hate.  Peace be with all and may honor rule our souls.

We've sat in classes and listened to our teachers discuss about African-American history. Waking up we survey the real world and create our own meaning of it. We've all heard the stories of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, and etc. and how they've worked effortlessly to allow us to walk free on US soil. The speeches they perfected stimulated the minds of citizens who wanted change. They didn't want a minor change but a tremendous change. Knowing all of this, we've come to downgrade all the work those before us have worked so hard to construct. The more we kill one another, the more we kill off the future children of the world. Violence has never been the way and still is not the way. You and you can help us stir the ship back to the top where it always belonged.

All these questions should pop up "Can I live with you?", "Are you the one?", "Is this what I want or is this to make my folks happy?" or "Will we live happily ever after". We tend to fantasize about true love because we all feel it exists. People mix sex with love. Sex reveals desires, emotions and pleasures. True love on the other hand captures the idea of your significant other completing you so that you're one. I never witnessed or felt true love but I sure have learned a lot from those before my duration of time.

We all say we believe but when it gets real we start to question. It's not wrong to question but it is absurd to not admit your wrong. Your questions may be answered but not always in the most unfashionable way.
